Air Dust Collector Working Principles

Air dust collectors work through the following main principles:

Mechanical Filtration

When the air passes through the filter material such as filter mesh, dust and other particles are intercepted on the surface of the filter mesh, and clean air passes through the filter mesh to achieve the purpose of dust removal, such as the primary filter in household air purifiers.

Electrostatic adsorption

The particles in the air are electrically charged and then adsorbed onto the dust collection plate through the action of the electrostatic field, commonly used in industrial electrostatic precipitators, with high dust removal efficiency and capable of handling small particles.

Centrifugal Separation

Using fan to make air rotate at high speed, the dust is thrown to the wall of dust collector under the action of centrifugal force, and then falls into the dust hopper for collection, such as cyclone dust collector, simple structure, can deal with larger particles of dust.

Water washing

Let the air pass through the water curtain or in full contact with water, the dust is adsorbed or dissolved by the water to achieve air purification, commonly used in wet dust collector, can remove part of the gaseous pollutants at the same time.
